Two Lakes and Lott

Northside Sun: The Two Lakes, project, has received an endorsement from one of Mississippi’s top leaders in the United States Congress. Sen. Trent Lott, in his weekly column, expressed support for both the Two Lakes project and Airport Parkway project, saying that the two projects are not mutually exclusive....The project’s conceiver, John McGowan, welcomed this endorsement from Sen. Lott and said that he thinks the project has a greater chance of going forward because of Sen. Lott’s support....McGowan also stressed that he is trying to distinguish his original plan from other versions of the project that have been proposed by referring to it as “Two Lakes” as opposed to “LeFleur Lakes.” Read the full story here.
